We Are In Transition
The Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana and St. Alban's Chapel have begun the process of seeking our next chaplain to lead our congregation in it's ministry to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to the LSU campus and surrounding area.

St. Alban's At A Glance

Welcome to St. Alban's Episcopal Chapel, a vibrant and inclusive community nestled on the campus of Louisiana State University since 1928. Our doors are open all day, every day, for everybody, reflecting our commitment to hospitality and spiritual growth.
Our sanctuary remains open 24/7, providing a peaceful space for prayer and reflection. Each Sunday at 10:30 a.m., we gather for worship, blending traditional Anglican choral music with contemporary styles, thanks to our talented choir composed of LSU students.
Throughout the week, St. Alban’s is alive with ministries that reflect our deep commitment to the work of Jesus across all ages and interests. From spiritual growth and worship to outreach and fellowship, everything we do builds toward a stronger, more connected community—answering Jesus’ call to love and serve those around us. At St. Alban's, there is always something going on!
Our campus ministry creates a welcoming home for LSU students: on Wednesdays, students are invited to "Lunch with C.S. Lewis", a free meal accompanied by discussions on 'Mere Christianity'. Evening bible studies take place for both women and men. While our Sunday morning service features rich liturgical and choral traditions, our sunday night recharge service is more relaxed and led by students and musicians, and is followed by a home-cooked meal.
Recovery ministries provide education and support for those navigating addiction, hosting multiple AA meetings weekly.
Children and youth programs engage our youngest members with interactive learning, service opportunities, and mission trips that instill a lifelong foundation of faith.
Our Pastoral Care, Prayer Shawl Ministry, and Lay Eucharistic Visitors provide comfort and care to those who are sick, homebound, or in need of spiritual support.
Hospitality and fellowship are at the heart of our community life. Whether it’s through our Sunday Coffee Hours, our Spring Crawfish Boil, Sunday Potluck Brunches, or our thriving music ministries—including the parish & student choir, and ukulele orchestra—St. Alban’s is a place where friendships are formed, faith is deepened, and everyone is invited to belong.
At St. Alban’s, our doors are always open, our hands are always serving, and our hearts are always seeking to follow Jesus in all that we do; we believe in the power of community and welcome everyone to join us in worship, service, and fellowship.
